Morning Agenda - Executive Briefing:

Time Content
09:00 Registration and Coffee
09:30 Welcome & Introduction
09:45 Design Automation

Significantly reduce time to market by driving design changes using engineering rules and Autodesk software.

10:00

Parametric Driven Design using iParts

iParts are families of parts that can be designed using tables to define multiple component sizes. Using iParts, you can quickly design several iterations of a component and create a family table, these can be published as standard content and re-used in several designs.

10:30 Coffee
10:45 Parametric Driven Design using Autodesk iLogic

iLogic uses rules based design to allow us to dynamically change a base part or assembly to create an infinite number of configurations. Using iLogic, you can quickly create ‘bespoke' product designs from known design rules, saving on downstream design processes and improving time to market and sales quotation output.

11:15 Driving Design with Intent presented by DAS

Probably the most experienced developers of Intent within Europe and having worked with the technology for over 10 years, DAS will present this session by over viewing through demonstrations the use of Autodesk Intent to drive even complex design and configuration processes.

Live examples will include how Intent has been used to re-engineer the design processes of several large manufacturers and also within large construction projects (Heathrow Terminal 5).

Topics covered will include:

  • Product/process suitability.
  • Making a business case and typical timescales/costs of Intent projects.
  • A Q&A session will be provided to answer specific questions from the audience.
